How the Packaging Line Works

Boards or profiles leave the cutting or press line and enter a fully automated end-of-line sequence. Stacking, dunnage placement, strapping and wrapping happen without manual intervention — operators only monitor the touchscreen and move finished packs by forklift.

Core Equipment on the Line

Each machine is manufactured in-house and matched to the next by the same engineering team, so mechanical interfaces, electrical signals and line speed are tuned as one system rather than pieced together from third-party vendors.

Automatic Stacker

Counts incoming boards by photocell, accumulates them layer by layer, and releases a complete stack at the programmed height — suction-cup or pitch-over discharge depending on board weight and surface finish.

Dunnage / Block Feeding System

Automatically places timber slats or plastic support blocks under and on top of each stack. Prevents board-to-board friction during transport and gives the forklift forks a clean entry point.

Six-Sided Moisture & Dust Protection

The horizontal ring wrapper films the top, bottom and four sides of every stack. MDF, gypsum and insulation boards leave the plant sealed against rain, humidity and warehouse dust — a real problem once product sits in port or on a job site.

Automatic Dunnage Insertion

No worker kneeling on the floor sliding timber blocks under stacks. The feeder places support blocks to position every cycle, reducing injury risk and keeping pack height consistent for stable truck loading.

Conveyors, stacker and wrapper are engineered around 6 m boards from day one — not a standard pallet wrapper stretched to accept long product. Guide rails and photoeyes track the full length without side drift.

MDF / HDF Boards

Medium- and high-density fiberboard panels — sensitive to edge chipping and moisture, so the six-sided film wrap and corner dunnage pay off immediately.

Plywood Panels

CDX, commercial and film-faced plywood stacks that move by sea freight. Strapping locks the veneer layers; film seals out humidity during transit.

Gypsum Boards

Plasterboard and drywall panels that crush easily and absorb water. The line handles them flat, inserts support slats and wraps before they leave the plant.

Aluminum Profiles

Long extrusions stacked into bundles. Strapping holds the bundle tight; horizontal film wrap prevents scratches and oxidation during storage.

Insulation Panels

PU, PIR and mineral-wool sandwich panels. Lightweight but bulky — the line stacks them to a stable height and films them against dust and handling damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the line handle boards longer than 6 meters?

Yes. The standard design covers up to 6,000 mm, but we routinely extend conveyors, stacker beds and the horizontal wrapper arch for 8 m and 10 m boards. Long extrusions and structural profiles fall into the same design envelope. Send us your longest board dimension and we’ll quote the extended configuration.

What happens if we switch between MDF and gypsum board?

The PLC stores a recipe per product: stack height, strap count, wrap count, film tension and dunnage block pattern all change at the touch of a button. Mechanical changeover — guide rails and stacker stops — typically takes 10–15 minutes with two operators.

Does the horizontal wrapper really seal all six sides?

Correct. A rotating ring travels along the length of the stack while dispensing stretch film, spiraling over the top, bottom and both long sides. Combined with the end film tails and top/bottom sheets, the pack is sealed on all six faces against dust and water. Corner boards can be added for heavy ocean freight.

How many operators does the line need?

Typically one operator monitoring the HMI and replenishing film and strapping coils, plus one forklift driver moving finished stacks. The line runs automatically between stack release and forklift pickup — manual labor is limited to material replenishment.

Can you integrate with our existing saw or press line?

Yes. We design the infeed conveyor to mate with your current outfeed, and the PLC handshake (photocell signals, run/stop) is wired to your upstream control system. We work with standard Profinet, Modbus TCP and hardwired I/O interfaces.
