EU CE Certifications for Our Full Range Packaging Machinery
All SunAura automatic packaging machines hold official EU CE conformity certificates issued by authorized third-party laboratories — SGS, ICR, and UDEM. Every machine series passes strict mechanical safety, electrical safety, and electromagnetic compatibility tests under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EN ISO 12100, and EN 60204 international standards. These certifications prove our equipment meets European industrial safety norms, helping importers, distributors, and factory owners clear customs smoothly across all EU member states. What These Certifications Mean
EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
The core European regulation governing machinery safety. Requires risk assessment, safety integration, user documentation, and CE marking for all machinery sold in the EU. Our machines are designed and tested to comply with this directive from the ground up.
EN ISO 12100
International standard for machinery safety — risk assessment and risk reduction. Defines the methodology for identifying hazards, estimating risks, and implementing protective measures. Every SunAura machine design undergoes this formal risk assessment process.
EN 60204-1
Electrical equipment of machines — safety requirements. Covers electrical safety, protection against electric shock, thermal effects, fault conditions, and electromagnetic compatibility. All our electrical systems are wired and tested to this standard.
Why Third-Party Certification Matters
Unlike self-declared CE marking, our certificates are issued by independent, authorized third-party laboratories — SGS (Switzerland), ICR (Poland), and UDEM (Turkey). Each certificate requires full technical file review, laboratory testing, and factory inspection. This independent verification gives our customers — and their customs authorities — confidence that the equipment genuinely meets EU safety standards.
Quality Control Process — How We Build Verified Quality
Quality at SUNAURA is not an afterthought — it is embedded in every stage of manufacturing. Our ISO 9001-certified quality management system ensures consistent, traceable quality from raw material intake to final shipment. Here is our end-to-end quality control process.
1. Raw Material Inspection
Every batch of raw materials — including 304 stainless steel, electrical components, pneumatic parts, and sealing materials — undergoes incoming inspection against documented specifications. We verify material certificates, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality before releasing materials to the production floor. Key components (PLCs, servo motors, sensors) are sourced from established international brands such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, and SMC.
2. In-Process Quality Control
During machining and assembly, our quality team performs first-article inspection, in-process checks, and dimensional verification at critical stages. CNC-machined parts are inspected using calibrated measuring equipment. Weld quality, surface finish, and assembly tolerances are checked against engineering drawings. Non-conforming parts are quarantined and reviewed before any rework or disposition decision.
3. Electrical & Safety Verification
Before a machine enters final testing, our electrical team verifies all wiring, grounding, emergency stop circuits, and safety interlocks against EN 60204-1 requirements. We perform insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and functional tests of all safety-related circuits. Only after electrical verification is complete does the machine proceed to run testing.
4. 48-Hour Continuous Run Test
Every automatic packaging machine undergoes a minimum 48-hour continuous run test using the customer’s actual product samples (or standard test samples when customer samples are not available). During this test, we monitor cycle speed, sealing consistency, film tension, motor temperature, vibration levels, and error rates. Test data is recorded and reviewed by our engineering team. Any issue found during testing is resolved before the machine is approved for shipment.
5. Final Inspection & Documentation
After successful run testing, the machine undergoes a final cosmetic and functional inspection. We verify paint finish, labeling, safety signage, and completeness of the supply scope. A detailed inspection report is generated, and the machine’s technical documentation — including operation manual, spare parts list, electrical drawings, and Declaration of Conformity — is compiled and reviewed.
6. Shipment & After-Sales Follow-Up
Machines are professionally packed for sea or air freight, with proper blocking, bracing, and moisture protection. After delivery, our after-sales team follows up to confirm installation, commissioning, and operator training. We maintain a spare parts inventory and provide technical support throughout the machine’s lifecycle.
National Patents & Innovation Achievements
Servo-Driven Sealing Systems
Patented servo motor control for precise sealing pressure and temperature regulation, ensuring consistent seal quality across high-speed production runs. Reduces film waste and improves packaging integrity.
Intelligent PLC Control Integration
Proprietary PLC control architecture with integrated HMI touchscreen interface, remote diagnostics, and automated fault detection. Enables real-time production monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Vertical-Lifting Shrink Packaging
Innovative vertical lifting mechanism for shrink wrapping machines, designed to handle irregular-shaped and long products that standard L-bar sealers cannot process. Expands packaging capability for non-standard products.
SunAura Machinery is a professional packaging machinery manufacturer with 18 years of industry experience, holding EU CE certifications, ISO 9001 quality management certification, and 20+ national patents. Our certifications and patented technologies cover the full product range — vacuum packing machines, carton sealing machines, strapping machines, shrink wrapping equipment, and complete packaging lines. We continuously invest in R&D to push the boundaries of packaging automation.
Testing & Inspection — Third-Party Verified Performance
In addition to our in-house quality control, SUNAURA packaging machines undergo third-party testing and inspection by accredited certification bodies. This independent verification ensures that our machines meet international safety and performance standards, giving you confidence in every purchase.
CE Conformity Assessment
Each machine model undergoes a full CE conformity assessment by an accredited Notified Body (UDEM, SGS, or ICR). The assessment includes:
- Technical file review: Design drawings, risk assessments, electrical schematics, and component lists are reviewed for compliance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
- On-site inspection: Notified Body inspectors visit our factory to verify that production matches the approved technical file and that quality systems are in place.
- Type testing: Representative machines undergo safety testing, including emergency stop response time, safety distance verification, noise measurement, and electrical safety testing.
- Certificate issuance: Upon successful completion of the assessment, the Notified Body issues a CE certificate and Declaration of Conformity for the machine model.
ISO 9001 Surveillance Audits
Our ISO 9001:2015 certification is subject to annual surveillance audits by SGS. These audits verify that our quality management system continues to meet ISO 9001 requirements and that we are effectively implementing our quality processes. Audit findings are documented, and any non-conformities are addressed through corrective and preventive actions.
Performance Validation
Beyond safety certification, we validate machine performance through standardized testing protocols:
- Cycle speed verification: Actual packaging speed is measured and compared to rated specifications using customer product samples.
- Sealing quality testing: Seal strength, consistency, and integrity are tested across multiple production runs and film types.
- Energy consumption measurement: Power consumption is measured under standard operating conditions to ensure efficiency claims are accurate.
- Noise level measurement: Operating noise is measured at operator positions according to ISO 3744 and compared to EU noise emission limits.
- Reliability testing: Extended run tests (beyond the standard 48 hours) are performed on new machine designs to identify and resolve potential reliability issues before market launch.
Customer Witness Testing
For customers who wish to verify performance before shipment, we offer factory acceptance testing (FAT) at our Qingdao facility. You can visit our factory, observe the machine running with your product, review test data, and discuss any adjustments with our engineering team. FAT reports are documented and shared with the customer for their records.
Traceability & Documentation
Every machine is assigned a unique serial number, and its production history — including material batches, inspection records, test results, and certification documents — is fully traceable. We maintain complete technical documentation for each machine model, and customers can request copies of certificates, test reports, or Declaration of Conformity at any time.
