The solution combines two synchronized sub-flows — an intelligent Sorting flow for parts picked from a sorting wall and consolidated into bins, and a Packing flow that uses AGVs to feed strapped, stretch-wrapped finished goods to outfeed. Both are orchestrated by a Smart Warehouse Control System (WCS).

Sorting Wall
Modular pick-wall locations with light-to-light and put-to-light guidance for high-accuracy parts picking.
View Conveyors →Sorting System
Automated bin routing and induction logic that dispatches totes to the correct consolidation workbench.
View Conveyors →Consolidation Workbench
Ergonomic, barcode-equipped workstations where picked parts are consolidated into shipping bins.
View Conveyors →AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)
Flexible laser/SLAM-guided AGVs with up to 1000 kg payload connect sorting, packing, and outfeed zones.
View Conveyors →Arrow-through Strapping Machine
Inline arrow-through strapper applies vertical bands through the pallet load for stable unitization.
View Strapping Machines →Rotary Arm Stretch Wrapper
Automatic rotary-arm wrapper with top-plate hold-down for stable, repeatable stretch wrap cycles.
View Stretch Wrappers →Vision Inspection
Vision system scans bin/pallet labels at handover to confirm contents, count, and shipping destination.

Why Choose SunAura for Automotive Parts Logistics
24/7 Unmanned Operation
AGVs, sorting logic, and WCS run continuously with auto-charging, lights-out capability, and minimal on-site staffing — ideal for high-volume JIT and aftermarket distribution.
AGV Flexible Routing
Laser/SLAM-guided AGVs adjust routes on the fly, so the same line can serve multiple sorting walls, packing stations, and outfeed bays without fixed conveyor rebuilds.
Full Digital Traceability
Every bin, pick, consolidation, and wrapping event is logged in the WCS and linked to barcodes/vision scans — giving customers a complete digital genealogy for every shipment.
Reduced Labor & Error Rates
Put-to-light guidance, automatic bin routing, and vision-verified handover cut manual handling steps, lower picking errors, and reduce labor dependence in repetitive tasks.
Typical Applications
Engine Parts

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the system integrate with our existing WMS or ERP?
Yes. The Smart Warehouse Control System (WCS) supports standard integration via API, OPC-UA, and TCP-IP. We typically map bin IDs, SKUs, order numbers, and outbound pallet records between the line and your WMS/ERP during the design phase, with a joint UAT to confirm data flows before handover.
How does the AGV handle changes in production layout?
Because AGVs are guided by laser/SLAM navigation rather than fixed wires or magnets, layout changes — such as adding a new packing station or re-routing outfeed — only require updating the WCS map. No floor modifications are needed, which makes the line highly adaptable as your facility evolves.
What is the typical payback on an unmanned automotive parts line?
For customers currently running 2–3 shifts of manual picking and packing, labor savings typically deliver payback within 18–30 months, depending on local labor rates, shift coverage, and error-reduction benefits. We can build an ROI model with your operational data during the proposal stage.
Does the line support mixed-SKU orders and kit packing?
Yes. The sorting wall and consolidation workbench are designed for mixed-SKU order picking. Put-to-light guidance, barcode verification, and vision handover ensure the correct parts are consolidated into each shipping bin before the AGV transports it to packing.
What safety features are included for AGV and manned zones?
Each AGV is equipped with laser scanners, audible/visual alarms, and soft-stop bumpers. Traffic rules and speed limits are enforced in the WCS for shared pedestrian zones. Full safety fencing and light-curtain interlocks are added at high-speed conveyor and strapping zones per customer risk assessment.
