Paper & Paper Products Packaging Line Solutions
A dedicated roll-handling line that moves heavy paper rolls straight off the rewinder through stopping, conveying, weighing, coding, labeling, strapping and wrapping — then lifts them to dispatch. Engineered for mill floors running around the clock, with dust-sealed construction and automatic traceability built in.

Rolls exit the rewinder and are transferred automatically through stopping, conveying and a sequence of identification and wrapping stations before being lifted to the dispatch conveyor. The line is a single synchronized chain controlled by one PLC.

Identification, Wrapping & Dispatch
Weighing Device
Inline loadcell weighs each roll and logs the net weight
Inkjet Coding Machine
Prints batch, grade and customer code onto the roll face
Automatic Labeling Machine
Applies barcode / shipping label aligned to the inkjet code
Strapping / Wrapping Machine
Straps and stretch-wraps the roll for safe transport
Vertical Lift
Elevates wrapped roll to the dispatch / warehouse conveyor

Core Equipment Included
Each module is engineered for the weight, surface and dust load of a paper mill. Frames use heavy channel steel; bearings and electrical enclosures are sealed against paper dust.
Stop Distributor
Receives rolls from the rewinder discharge and sequences them onto the main conveyor one at a time, preventing roll collisions.
Conveying Range →Pneumatic Paper Stop
Heavy-duty pneumatic gate with buffer pad that holds and releases rolls at each working station.
Conveying Range →Chain Conveyor
Closed-chain heavy-load conveyor with side rails, rated for continuous 24/7 mill-floor service.
View Conveyors →Electric Turntable
Variable-speed rotary table that indexes rolls for coding, label placement and full-circle film wrapping.
Conveying Range →Weighing Device
Inline loadcell platform with accuracy ±0.1 kg, feeding net-weight data to the line PLC and traceability system.
Paired with Coding →Inkjet Coding Machine
Industrial inkjet printer for batch number, paper grade, customer code and date directly on the roll face.
View Coding Machines →Automatic Labeling Machine
Wraparound or top-label applicator that places the barcode shipping label aligned with the printed code.
View Labeling Machines →Strapping Machine
Automatic inline strapper applying PET or PP banding around the roll circumference to secure the wrapping.
View Strapping Machines →Stretch Wrapper
Rotary-arm or orbital stretch wrapper that seals the roll in film for dust and moisture protection in transit.
View Stretch Wrapping Machines →Vertical Lift
Reciprocating lift that elevates wrapped rolls from floor level to the dispatch conveyor or AGV pickup height.

Why This Line Works for Paper Mills
Heavy-Load Engineered
Frames, chains, bearings and stops are all rated for 2-tonne loads and duty cycles of 6,000+ hours per year, not light-package duty.
Dust-Resistant Design
Sealed bearings, sealed electrical cabinets and guarded drives keep paper dust out of moving parts — the single biggest cause of mill-line downtime.
Automatic Weighing & Traceability
Every roll is weighed, inkjet-coded and barcode-labeled in line, with data logged to your MES. No handwritten tickets, no mixed-up grades at dispatch.
Reduced Manual Handling Injury
Eliminates manual roll craning, forklift traffic between rewinder and warehouse, and the repetitive lifting that drives mill-floor injury rates.
Application Scenarios
Kraft Paper & Corrugated Medium Rolls
Heavy industrial rolls for packaging plants and corrugator feed. High-load chain conveying with orbital wrapping for outdoor storage.
Tissue Parent Rolls
Large parent reels for tissue converters. Gentle handling, dust-controlled coding and labeled roll face for downstream converting lines.
Paperboard & Specialty Rolls
Folding boxboard, white-lined chipboard and coated specialty rolls. Weight logging and traceability for customer-specific grade releases.

Paper Roll Packaging FAQ
What roll weights and diameters can the system handle?
The standard line is rated for rolls up to 2,000 kg and diameters from 600 to 1,500 mm. Heavier or wider rolls (e.g., 3-tonne jumbo reels) are available as an engineered upgrade with reinforced chain and heavier structural steel. We confirm the exact rating against your rewinder discharge schedule.
How does the automatic weighing and coding work for traceability?
The roll pauses on a loadcell weigher that records the net weight to ±0.1 kg. As the roll turns on the electric turntable, the inkjet printer marks batch, grade and customer code, and the labeling machine applies a matching barcode label. All data — weight, code, timestamp — is logged to the PLC and can be exported to your MES or WMS.
Is the equipment suitable for dusty paper mill environments?
Yes. All drives use sealed bearings, electrical cabinets are IP54 or better, and exposed chain runs are guarded. The design also includes a central dust extraction connection point at the coding and wrapping stations. This is the same configuration we have installed in working tissue and kraft mills.
Can the line integrate with our existing rewinder and warehouse software?
The PLC supports Profinet, Modbus TCP and OPC UA, so it can read the grade and order data directly from your rewinder control system and push completed roll records to your warehouse management system. We can also add a HMI recipe screen for operators to override or confirm the order data on the fly.
