How the Line Runs

The sequence below is the standard bagged-powder layout. Each station hands off to the next by conveyor; rejects are automatically diverted, and the palletizer builds stable layer patterns onto wooden or plastic pallets before a rotary arm wrapper secures the load.

Core Equipment on the Line

All machines are selected to run in lockstep: the filler’s bag count feeds the checkweigher, the rejector triggers on either metal or weight fault, and the robot calls a new pallet from the magazine automatically.

Automatic Filling Machine

Gross or net weigh filler for 10–50 kg open-mouth bags. Screw, belt or vibration feeding depending on product flow characteristics, with dust-tight spout and bag-clamp seal.

Quantitative Weighing Scale

Load-cell weighing integrated into the filler to close the dosing loop. Dosing cut-off and slow-feed phases are set on the HMI to hold ±0.2% across the bag range.

Metal Detector

Free-Fall or gravity-channel detector calibrated for wet, salty or conductive products. Identifies ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless contaminants and triggers the rejector.

Integrated inline between sewing and check-weighing.

Weight Checker & Rejector

Inline checkweigher re-measures the sealed bag and compares it against the set weight. Out-of-tolerance bags — light, heavy or metal-contaminated — are blown or diverted to a reject bin.

Dual Quality Inspection

Metal detector and checkweigher sit in series, not as afterthoughts. A bag with a wire fragment from upstream equipment or a 500 g underfill is rejected before it is palletized — two failure modes covered on one conveyor lane.

Dust-Tight Filling Design

The filler spout clamps to the bag mouth, and exhaust air passes through a cartridge dust collector. Less powder in the air around the machine means a cleaner workspace and lower housekeeping load on operators.

High Weighing Accuracy

Two-stage dosing (fast then slow feed) and load-cell feedback hold ±0.2% across the full 10–50 kg range. Overfill waste and underfill complaints both drop compared with manual or semi-automatic bagging.

Operators load empty bags at the filler station and monitor the HMI; they do not stand beside open product during filling, sewing or palletizing. For corrosive, dusty or allergenic powders, that’s a real safety improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the line be built for an ATEX hazardous area?

Yes. We offer an explosion-proof package covering Zone 2 (gas) and Zone 22 (conductive dust): flameproof or intrinsically safe electrical components, purge-and-pressurized control cabinets, anti-static belting, stainless-steel wet-contact parts and bonding/grounding throughout. The classification is set by your risk assessment and we design to match.

What bag formats does the filler handle?

Standard open-mouth bags in paper, woven PP/PE and laminated film, from 10 kg to 50 kg. Bag loading can be manual (one operator at the spout) or fully automatic with a bag placer. We also supply valve-bag versions for fine powders that require a dust-tight sealed closure.

How does the rejector handle rejected bags?

A pneumatic pusher or air blast diverts bags flagged by the metal detector or checkweigher into a side reject lane. The event is logged with timestamp, bag number and reason (metal / underweight / overweight) so QA can review batches. Rejected bags do not reach the palletizer.

Why use a rotary arm wrapper instead of a turntable?

For heavy or unstable pallet loads — bags of powder can shift if spun — the rotary arm wraps while the pallet stays on the floor. There is no centrifugal force on the load, and pallets can be very tall or slightly off-center without tipping. It also integrates cleanly with an infeed/outfeed conveyor line.

How many people are needed to run the line?

Two operators: one at the bag-loading station and one monitoring the HMI, reject bin and film replenishment. The palletizer and wrapper run unmanned. For fully automatic bag placement, one operator is enough to watch the line and handle changeovers.

Can you connect the line to our MES / ERP?

Yes. The PLC logs bag counts, weight readings, reject events and wrap cycles. We provide OPC UA / Modbus TCP data export so your MES or ERP can pull production and QA data directly. Recipe recall by SKU is also supported.
