SunAura Machinery Expands Rotary Servo Piston Filler Series with New 12-Head Model for Viscous Sauces

The new 12-head rotary servo piston filler extends SunAura’s liquid filling platform into higher-speed viscous food and personal-care applications.

QINGDAO, China — October 26, 2026 — SunAura Machinery has expanded its liquid filling platform with a new 12-head rotary servo piston filler designed for medium-to-high-speed production of viscous and semi-viscous products such as sauces, honey, shampoo, lotion, and paste-style foods. The new model joins the company’s existing single-head and 4-6 head linear servo piston fillers, giving buyers a single machine family that scales from R&D batches to full production lines without switching suppliers or relearning controls.

What the New Rotary Model Adds

Where the existing linear servo piston fillers handle up to roughly 40-60 bottles per minute for medium-viscosity products, the new 12-head rotary platform is rated for up to 120-160 containers per minute, depending on fill volume, container shape, and product viscosity. Like the linear models, every cylinder is driven by its own servo motor rather than a central pneumatic cylinder, which means each head can be tuned independently for product viscosity, fill volume, and speed without mechanical adjustment. Changeover between SKUs is done through the HMI rather than by swapping cams or adjusting springs.

Key specifications for the new platform include:

  • 12 servo-driven pistons, each 50ml to 1000ml standard, with 50ml to 5000ml available on request
  • ±0.5% fill accuracy on volumetric fills, tested with water, 10,000 cP sauces, and shear-sensitive gels
  • Quick-change sealing and cylinder modules, tool-less changeover between bottle sizes under 15 minutes
  • 316L stainless steel product contact parts, food-grade silicone and EPDM seals, CIP-capable design
  • Integrated HMI with recipe storage for up to 100 SKUs, production counters, shift logs, and alarm history
  • No-drip fill nozzles with pneumatic shut-off, designed for stringy sauces and viscous gels that otherwise draw threads between bottle and nozzle

Who It’s For

The rotary filler targets three buyer groups that have been asking SunAura for higher throughput without giving up piston-filler flexibility:

Sauce and condiment producers running ketchup, mayonnaise, chili sauce, or honey in glass jars and PET bottles. At 120 jars per minute, a single rotary filler replaces two to three linear machines and cuts the floor space and operator count proportionally. The no-drip nozzle design is particularly relevant for honey and syrup producers who currently lose product to bottle-neck drips and subsequent label peeling.

Personal-care co-packers running shampoo, shower gel, lotion, and hand wash in 200ml to 1L bottles. The servo control handles shear-sensitive gels and suspensions without damaging particulates, and the 316L wetted parts are compatible with the majority of cosmetic and chemical formulations. The recipe storage means a co-packer running 20+ SKUs can switch between products in minutes rather than hours.

Food manufacturers running ready-meal sauces, soup concentrates, and dairy toppings where fill accuracy and no-drip cut-off matter for label credibility and downstream packaging integrity. The CIP-capable design also supports producers who need to run multiple products per day and cannot afford long strip-down cycles.

How It Fits a Complete Line

The rotary filler is designed to sit inside a complete packaging line, feeding from an upstream bottle unscrambler and discharging into capping, induction foil sealing, and labeling equipment. SunAura supplies the integrated line — unscrambler, filler, capper, foil sealer, labeler, and conveyor — as a single FAT-tested unit rather than separate pieces from different vendors. This means one point of contact for commissioning, one set of spares, and one PLC architecture across the whole line.

For buyers who already have upstream or downstream equipment in place, the rotary filler’s standard conveyor and communication interfaces (EIP/Profinet/24V discrete I/O) make it straightforward to integrate with existing cappers, labelers, and checkweighers. SunAura’s engineering team reviews the existing line layout before order confirmation to confirm interface compatibility.

Availability and Next Steps

The first production unit is currently undergoing FAT in SunAura’s Qingdao workshop and is scheduled for shipment to a European sauce manufacturer in Q4 2026. Demonstration slots for prospective buyers are open in November and December; buyers are welcome to visit the workshop, run their own product, and review the FAT protocol on site. Reference lists and video footage of the machine running at customer sites are available on request.

SunAura continues to build its front-end and complete-line portfolio around filling, capping, sealing, and pillow/flow wrapping equipment.
