SunAura Machinery Launches SZ-320 Mini Compact Flow Wrapper for Artisanal and Small-Batch Producers

October 9, 2026  |  by Ethan, SunAura Machinery Product Management

QINGDAO, China — SunAura Machinery has launched the SZ-320 Mini, a compact servo-driven flow wrapping machine designed specifically for small-batch artisanal producers, startup food brands, and contract packers running short production runs. The new model is 30% narrower than our standard SZ-420 and starts at a price point that makes automatic packaging accessible to producers who previously relied on hand wrapping.

The SZ-320 Mini completed 200 hours of load testing before launch, wrapping biscuits, energy bars and coffee pods at speeds up to 60 packs per minute.

Why We Built It

For years, our standard flow wrappers have served mid-size and large food producers running 1,000+ packs per hour. But we kept getting inquiries from a different customer: the artisan chocolate maker, the specialty coffee roaster, the small-batch granola brand, the craft bakery — producers who need automatic packaging but don’t have the floor space, the production volume, or the budget for a full-size industrial wrapper.

These buyers were buying tabletop hand sealers and struggling with inconsistent seal quality, or importing used European machines that were too big for their kitchens. The SZ-320 Mini fills that gap: it’s a real servo-driven flow wrapper, not a toy, but sized and priced for small operations.

Who It’s For

The SZ-320 Mini shares the same servo drive and HMI platform as our standard machines — it’s not a stripped-down toy.

The Mini is designed for producers who fit all of these criteria:

  • Production volume: 5,000–30,000 packs per day. Enough that hand packing is a bottleneck, but not enough to justify a 120-pack-per-minute industrial machine.
  • Floor space: A small production room, a shared kitchen, or a startup facility. The Mini fits through a standard doorway and runs on a 16A single-phase outlet — no three-phase power required.
  • Product range: Biscuits, candy, energy bars, coffee pods, chocolate, small hardware, pharmaceuticals. Anything up to 60 mm thick and 180 mm wide.
  • Budget: Buyers who need automatic sealing quality but aren’t ready for a $50,000+ capital investment.

What It Doesn’t Compromise On

We deliberately kept the features that matter most on the Mini, even where it would have been cheaper to cut corners:

  • Servo-driven film pull — not a mechanical clutch. Recipe recall on the HMI, consistent registration, and the energy savings of servo operation.
  • 304 stainless steel contact parts — food-grade finish, easy to wipe down, no painted mild steel in the product zone.
  • Brand-name components — Delta PLC, Mitsubishi servo, Schneider contactors. No unbranded electronics.
  • CE certification — all export models meet EU machine safety standards, with a technical file included.
