Belt Conveyor
The SunAura belt conveyor is a versatile PVC belt on a lightweight aluminum alloy frame, with variable speed and adjustable height. It carries packages, products and loose items that would not roll on rollers — including an optional inclined version up to 30 degrees with a cleated belt. The most general-purpose conveyor in our range. CE-certified and factory-direct.
Product Description
The SunAura belt conveyor is the general-purpose workhorse for everything that does not roll on a roller. A continuous PVC belt (200–800mm wide, 2–3mm thick) runs around head and tail pulleys on a rigid aluminum alloy frame. The product sits on the flat, endless belt and is carried forward wherever the belt goes — including up an incline if you choose the cleated version. Unlike rollers, a belt carries small parts, loose items, soft bags and irregular shapes that would fall between roller gaps.
A 0.37–0.75kW motor with gear reducer drives the head pulley at a variable 0–20m/min. The aluminum frame keeps the unit light enough to move around the shop floor, while the adjustable legs (500–1000mm) match the belt height to any workbench, machine or packing station. Standard sections run 1–5m long, and we can supply an inclined version up to 30 degrees with a cleated (cleat) belt to stop product sliding back downhill. Voltage is 220/380V to your order.
Every powered belt conveyor completes a 48-hour run test in our Qingdao factory before shipment. We customize belt width, length, height, speed and incline to suit your product and line.

Key Features & Benefits
- Carries anything that won’t roll: Small parts, loose items, soft bags and irregular shapes ride on the continuous belt surface — no gaps to fall through.
- Lightweight aluminum frame: Extruded aluminum keeps the belt conveyor light enough to reposition around the shop while staying rigid under load.
- Variable speed 0–20 m/min: Match belt speed to your machine cycle, packing rate or assembly takt time.
- Adjustable height 500–1000mm: Match the belt to any workbench, machine or packing station with simple leg adjustment.
- Optional incline up to 30 degrees: Choose a cleated (cleat) belt to lift product up a ramp instead of only running horizontal.
- Wide belt range 200–800mm: From narrow single-file part feeding to wide package transport, we size the belt to your product.
- Easy belt replacement: PVC belts are supplied as a closed loop; if one ever wears, it swaps off the pulleys in minutes.
- 48-hour run tested: Every powered section is run loaded in our factory before it ships.
Application Industries
General Package Transport
Carries boxes, bags and assorted products between stations where a roller belt would not handle mixed shapes.
Assembly Lines
Delivers components to operators and carries sub-assemblies to the next workstation at a set takt time.
Food Packaging
Food-grade PVC options carry packaged food and loose items through packaging and weighing stations.
Printing & Bindery
Moves printed sheets, signatures and book blocks through collating and binding equipment.
Warehouse Order Picking
Transports picked orders to packing stations and accumulates them for consolidation.
Injection Molding Part Removal
Cooling parts drop from the molding machine onto the belt and carry away for inspection.
Product compatibility: Packages, bags, loose parts, printed materials and molded parts up to 30–50kg/m. For heavy cartons on a flat bottom you may prefer a roller conveyor.
How the Belt Conveyor Works
A belt conveyor moves product on an endless loop around two pulleys:
- Motor drives the head pulley. A 0.37–0.75kW gear-motor turns the head (drive) pulley at the end of the conveyor.
- Endless PVC belt wraps around both pulleys. The belt loops over the head pulley, under the frame, and back around the tail pulley, forming a continuous moving surface.
- Product sits on the top run. The operator or upstream machine places the product on the flat top of the moving belt; friction between product and belt carries it forward.
- Belt speed is adjustable. The variable-speed drive (0–20m/min) sets how fast the product travels to the next station.
- Product exits at the tail end. At the far end the product slides off the belt onto a workbench, machine or next conveyor. On the inclined version, cleats grip the product against the slope.
Is This the Right Conveyor for You?
This belt conveyor is the right fit if your operation matches all four of the following. If you fall outside any of them, our team can recommend a roller SunAura conveyor:
- Your product won’t roll on rollers: If you move loose parts, soft bags, printed sheets, or irregular shapes, a belt is the right surface. Rigid flat cartons are often cheaper on rollers.
- Load up to 50kg/m: This aluminum-frame belt handles 30–50kg/m. Heavier loads need a steel-frame or chain plate system.
- You need horizontal or inclined transport: For horizontal flow this is standard. If you must lift product, choose the cleated incline version up to 30 degrees.
- You want a light, repositionable frame: The aluminum frame is easy to move. If you need a heavy-duty fixed washdown line, consider a stainless steel roller or chain plate instead.
Troubleshooting Guide — Common Issues & Solutions
Belt conveyors most commonly suffer from belt tracking and tension issues. Below are the most common problems and fixes. Lock out power before working on pulleys or the belt.
| Problem | Possible Causes | Solutions |
|---|---|---|
| Belt wanders off-center | Tail pulley not square; belt tension uneven; frame not level; product loaded off-center. |
|
| Belt slips on the drive pulley | Belt too loose; pulley worn smooth; overload beyond 50kg/m; oil on the belt. |
|
| Belt frays or tears at edges | Rubbing the frame; mis-tracking; sharp product edges; worn wear strip. |
|
| Motor stops / overload trips | Overload; jammed product under the belt; belt tension too tight; low supply voltage. |
|
| Product slides back on the incline | Angle too steep for a smooth belt; load too heavy; no cleats fitted. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Why use a belt instead of a roller conveyor?
Rollers only carry rigid flat-bottomed cartons. A belt carries anything — loose parts, soft bags, printed sheets, molded components, irregular shapes — because the continuous surface supports the whole product. If you move a mix of item shapes, the belt is the safer choice.
How steep an incline can it handle?
A smooth PVC belt handles gentle inclines up to about 10 degrees before product starts to slide back. For steeper lifts, up to 30 degrees, we fit a cleated (cleat) belt that grips the product and stops it from sliding downhill. Tell us your lift height and we specify the cleat.
What belt width should I choose?
Width is set 50–100mm wider than your widest product. Narrow 200–300mm belts feed single parts; 500–800mm belts carry packages and multiple rows. Send us your product dimensions and we recommend the width.
Can the belt be replaced if it wears out?
Yes. The PVC belt is a closed-loop that slips off the head and tail pulleys. Worn belts are an inexpensive wearing part; we supply replacement belts to length, and they can be fitted on site in minutes.
What is the lead time and warranty?
Standard belt conveyors ship in 15–25 days; custom inclines or widths take 25–35 days. Every powered section carries a 12-month warranty covering parts and labor, plus lifetime support. Spare belts, motors and pulleys are dispatched worldwide within 48 hours.
