Continuous Induction Foil Sealer for Bottles and Jars

Continuous Induction Foil Sealer for Bottles and Jars

The SUNAURA floor-standing continuous induction foil sealer bridges desktop and inline production — a 2000W power stage handling Φ20–60mm necks across containers up to 350mm tall. Open-frame design drops between your capper and downstream conveyor. The versatile workhorse for bottlers and jar packers who need speed and flexibility.

Product Description

The SUNAURA continuous induction foil sealer for bottles and jars is a floor-standing, open-frame induction sealer engineered as the middle step between compact benchtop units and full high-speed inline systems. Its 2000W transistor power stage delivers faster, more reliable seals across a wider neck range (Φ20–60 mm), while the tall column accommodates containers up to 350 mm tall — from small essential oil bottles to 1-liter jars and tall shoulder bottles.

The stainless-steel-and-aluminum frame is built for daily production use in food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical filling environments. The open architecture means the machine integrates directly between your capping machine and downstream conveyor, with the 1200 mm × 200 mm belt load-rated up to 20 kg. Conveyor speed is adjustable from 0 to 15 m/min (roughly 70–120 bottles/min depending on cap size), and the head height adjusts to match different container heights without tools.

Air cooling via forced fan means no water connection required, while over-current and over-heat protection keeps the electronics safe through long production days. This is the machine for growing brands that have outgrown their benchtop sealer but do not yet need a 2300W high-speed line — or for multi-SKU producers who need one machine to handle both bottles and jars.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 2000W output for faster, reliable seals: The higher power stage handles wider necks (up to 60 mm) and faster belt speeds than 1500W benchtop units — stronger bonds with shorter dwell time.
  • Wide bottle-height window (20–350 mm): One machine handles tiny dropper vials through 1-liter jars. Switch between SKUs by adjusting head height — no tooling changes.
  • Floor-standing, line-integrable frame: Open-frame design drops between your capper and existing conveyor. Standard belt interface matches most packaging line layouts.
  • Air-cooled transistor control: Forced-fan cooling eliminates the need for a chiller or water hookup, while transistor-based output delivers stable high-frequency power across long shifts.
  • Adjustable conveyor speed and head height: Belt speed 0–15 m/min and vertical head adjustment let you tune dwell time for any container material and cap size.
  • Over-current and over-heat protection: Automatic shutdown on fault conditions protects the generator and extends service life. Fault codes display on the control panel for quick diagnosis.
  • CE / RoHS compliant: EMC-shielded sealing head, emergency stop, and safety interlocks meet European regulatory requirements for industrial packaging equipment.

Container compatibility: PET, glass, HDPE, and PP bottles and jars with mouth diameters from 20 to 60 mm. Not suitable for metal containers.

How Induction Foil Sealing Works

Induction sealing is a contact-free bonding process that uses electromagnetic energy to fuse an aluminum foil liner to the container rim. On this floor-standing model, the cycle runs automatically as containers move along the integrated conveyor:

  1. Capped container enters under the sealing head. Bottles or jars exit the capper and transfer onto the 1200 mm belt conveyor, where side guides center each cap beneath the RF sealing head.
  2. High-frequency field induces current in the foil. The 2000W generator produces an alternating magnetic field that penetrates the plastic or glass cap and induces eddy currents in the aluminum foil liner, heating it almost instantly.
  3. Wax melts, polymer film bonds to rim. Heat melts the wax layer into the pulp board inside the cap. At the same time, the heat-activated film on the underside of the foil melts and fuses to the container rim — whether PET, glass, or HDPE.
  4. Container exits with hermetic foil seal. The bottle or jar continues along the belt to downstream labeling or packing. The foil disc remains bonded to the rim as a visible, tamper-evident seal.
  5. End user twists cap — seal stays. When the consumer unscrews the cap, the pulp liner stays inside the cap, leaving the foil disc on the container mouth as proof of tamper-evident integrity.

Is This the Right Mid-Range Induction Sealer for You?

This model sits between desktop benchtop units and high-speed inline systems. It is the right choice if your production profile matches all four points below:

  1. You need to handle both bottles and jars on one machine: The Φ20–60 mm sealing range and 20–350 mm height window cover most standard packaging formats. If your line runs only small PET bottles, a benchtop 1500W unit may suffice; if you run wide-mouth jars over 60 mm, move up to the wide-head model.
  2. Throughput between 70 and 120 containers/min: The 2000W stage and 0–15 m/min belt cover mid-volume production. For 200+ containers/min on 24/7 lines, look at the 2300W high-throughput model instead.
  3. You want to integrate into an existing line: The open frame and 1200 mm conveyor bridge between your capper and downstream equipment. Send us your line layout and we will confirm interface dimensions before order.
  4. Air-cooled operation fits your facility: No water hookup, no chiller — just a standard 220V supply. If you need 24/7 high-duty sealing, consider the water-cooled configuration for extended continuous operation.

Troubleshooting Guide — Common Issues & Solutions

Mid-range floor-standing sealers handle mixed SKUs, which makes setup variation the most common source of issues. Below are the problems our engineers diagnose most often on dual bottle/jar lines. Always disconnect power before inspecting the sealing head.

ProblemPossible CausesSolutions
Weak seal on larger jars, fine on small bottlesPower not increased for 60mm caps; belt speed too fast for wider dwell; head gap too high.
  • Increase power output when switching to 50–60 mm jars — wider caps need more energy.
  • Slow the conveyor when sealing wide-mouth containers (dwell time scales with cap diameter).
  • Lower the head so gap is 2–3 mm above cap top for every SKU.
Seal quality varies between bottles and jarsSame foil liner used for both materials; head height not reset; different cap torque.
  • Use PET-bottom liners for PET bottles and glass-rated liners for glass jars.
  • Readjust head height when changing container format — tall jars need a different gap than short bottles.
  • Verify capping torque is consistent per format (plastic and glass caps often need different torque).
Bottles or jars drift sideways on beltSide guides misaligned; belt tracking off; container base diameter inconsistent.
  • Reset side guides so the gap is 1–2 mm wider than the widest container at any given SKU.
  • Adjust belt tracking so containers travel in a straight line through the head center.
  • Verify containers are from the same supplier batch — mold variations cause tracking drift.
Over-temperature shutdown during long runsForced fan vents blocked; ambient temperature high; running beyond recommended duty cycle.
  • Clear dust and packaging debris from fan intake and exhaust grilles.
  • Ensure operating room temperature stays below 40°C; add ventilation if needed.
  • For continuous 8+ hour runs, consider a water-cooled upgrade for the power stage.
Intermittent missing sealsPhoto-eye sensor blocked; containers spaced too closely; power stage cycling between on/off.
  • Clean the photo-eye sensor lens; adjust height to cap midpoint.
  • Ensure containers are spaced at least one container-length apart on the belt.
  • Check that the auto-trigger mode is enabled and not stuck in continuous mode.
Foil tears around jar edges after sealOver-powering; foil liner too thin for wide jar; rim has sharp edges; jar too hot from filling.
  • Reduce power output by 10–15% for wide jars.
  • Switch to heavier 50–60 μm foil for jars over 50 mm diameter.
  • Inspect jar rims for sharp mold edges that can tear the hot foil.
  • Allow filled jars to cool to near-ambient before sealing to prevent thermal stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this machine handle both PET bottles and glass jars on the same line?

Yes — that is exactly what it is designed for. The Φ20–60 mm sealing range and 20–350 mm height window cover most standard bottle and jar formats. You will need to switch foil liner types between PET and glass (different bottom film formulations) and readjust head height when changing formats, but no tooling changes are required.

How many bottles or jars per minute can it produce?

At the maximum 15 m/min belt speed, output ranges from roughly 70 containers/min (for 60 mm jars) up to around 120 bottles/min (for 28–38 mm bottles). Actual output depends on cap diameter, container material, and required seal strength. We tune the default speed and power settings on your sample containers before shipment.

Does it need water cooling?

No — this model is air-cooled with a forced fan. There is no water inlet, drain, or chiller to install or maintain. It runs on a standard 220V single-phase supply. If you plan to run 24/7 on large-diameter caps, we can offer a water-cooled variant for extended duty cycles.

Can it integrate with my existing capper and conveyor?

Yes. The open-frame design and 1200 mm × 200 mm belt are designed to bridge between a capping machine and downstream conveyor. Send us your line layout, conveyor height, and belt width, and we will confirm interface compatibility before you order. Left-to-right and right-to-left belt directions are configurable.
